Welcome to f5.6 Gallery
No, we are not a fly-by-night phantom set-up.
No, at present we have yet to build up our destined 6 billion annual turn-over Empire to have a brick-and-mortar viewing gallery.
Yes, we definitely have the colonialist ambition and gumption to do that, eventually.
Yes, in the meanwhile we have built a virtual gallery to showcase prints from our stable of talents.
Yes, we strongly encourage you to buying a print[s] in order to [delete where preposterous]:
(i) contribute to the GNP of our country
(ii) support the employment of photographers
(iii) show you are a connoisseur of the Renaissance City
(iv) spite your Philistine neighbours, the Joneses and that bloke upstairs
Just a bit about f5.6 Gallery
Alluding to the camera aperture f/5.6 (which we are sure all you aficionados know), it is the gleeful common denominator for cameras from all walks of life…whether it be point and shoot, lomo or high end SLR camera (yes, we also believe in equal opportunity for all cameras and photographers).
Now what does it all mean? As intelligent perplexed readers are wont to ask.
It means that this gallery will showcase all ranges of photography work regardless of style, format, camera types. The only common denominator?
A creative and beautiful image. So you, yes you, come and sit right next to us.
Once again, welcome to f/5.6 Gallery and follow the desire of your retina.
Your friendly (highly enthusiastic),
A.R
About F5.6 Gallery
F5.6 Gallery aims to create a platform for photographers and users (corporate and private collectors) to purchase photography, with the alternative option to rent works. The website will profile each individual artist and his works, to aid new collectors with knowledge to make the right purchases. It seeks to educate buyers and photographers on photography collecting and to develop photographers professionally for the international art market.
More than a mere monetary online transaction, the online site is a conduit between photographers and buyers. It provides industrial information, artist profiles, critiques, reviews and latest updates in the local and international photo markets.
This website will be supported by events such as physical exhibitions, public talks, workshops, and features such as tips and information for collectors.
For interested artists, please send in sample works and bio for consideration to info@themeetingpoint.com.sg. Your mail will be replied within 4 working days.
