Known as One-2-ONE, it is an industry gathering specially catered for young designers, budding photographers and fresh graduates (from various design institutions) to come together, to seek critique, advice and acquire insights for their works from the established professionals and practitioners in the vibrant creative industry.

One-2-ONE is a rare opportunity for the younger batch to interact and rub shoulders with the who’s who in the local design, advertising and media scene. Through honest feedback from the established veterans, its main aim is to assist the “young ones” to grasp a better idea on what’s out there and what’s needed in the industry, and be prepared to gear themselves up to face real challenges ahead.

At the same time, the organisers also hope this session can serve as a potential “talent pool” for veterans who are constantly on the look out for suitable candidates, to recruit “fresh blood” to contribute to their respective creative entities. =)

Quick Facts for Reviewers and Reviewees:

• One-2-ONE is an one-night-only event, to be held on 23 May, Saturday evening between 6pm to 9pm (total duration: 3 hours) at OldSchool.

For Panel Reviewers…

• Each review session will last about 15 min (+ 5 min buffer time), in a private, one-to-one setting.
• Depending on the final number of reviewees, each reviewer will meet no more than 9 reviewees in the 3 hour session.
• Feedback given should address at the works / portfolio presented by Reviewees.
• Reviewer may prompt reviewee for further information on their works to gain better understanding.

For Reviewees…

• Each reviewee will get to meet up to 3 reviewers on the panel, allocated based on the relevance of their submitted CV / portfolio to each reviewer’s profile.
• Reviewees should come prepared to present their portfolio either in actual prints or digital files in own laptop.
• Reviewees need to adhere strictly to the time schedule and allocation. Time-keepers will be present to ensure a smooth transition process.
• Organiser’s decision is final.

Light refreshments will be available for all participants (both reviewers and reviewees) at the end of review session.

A fee of $40 will be collected from each reviewee, which will be used to fund the necessary logistics and miscellaneous costs incurred to run the event.

Born on Leap Year, 2902 Gallery is proud to bring you ON THE WALL ~ Photo Bazaar, Singapore’s very own (probably the one and only) photographic flea market that deals with anything and everything pertaining to PHOTOGRAPHY!

ON THE WALL (OTW) is a quarterly communal gathering with a special focus on photography. As part of community outreach programmes, OTW provides budding photographers and emerging artists an interesting yet affordable platform to showcase and to promote their fine art prints, while hobbyists and enthusiasts alike can get-together to network and exchange ideas, or simply trade and sell their works, camera gears, bargain books as well as other photographic-related items in this “photo bazaar”.

Birthday Month for 2902 – OTW in Feb carries an element of celebration! 2902 Gallery turns 1 year old! Asides from the tradition of cake cutting and drinks, the real (visual) feast is 200 over new works from 24 photographers (made up of people from all walks of life), with a wide spectrum of genres ranging from conceptual fine art works to documentary photojournalism stories.

Enough of Guessing Game – For 2 days (21st & 22nd Feb), a series of photographer’s dialogue sessions and hands-on area are open to everyone who enjoy and wish to understand photography better. In the evening, enjoy complimentary drinks from Martell while being inspired by slides show of works from different countries to promote the appreciation of photography and to spur you on to new works. For those who wish to hone their skills, Sunday afternoon is the Photo Scavenger Hunt with attractive prizes to give away.

Photo Lovers & Heartfelt Gratitude – This is an event for everyone who loves photography, interested in photography or simply curious about photography. We are grateful to local community for the supports given in last one year, and this a celebration to share with everyone. So c’mon down to 2902 gallery for a fun-filled weekend this February (and celebrate our birthday with us too)! Admission is free.
