Nicola Zammit Nicola Zammit is a British born photographer currently based in South East Asia.

She studied Editorial Photography at Brighton University; UK, and since graduating is working on a more international scale, exhibiting in places such as Italy, Egypt, Argentina, Malaysia, Palestine and more.

A fertile imagination, a passion for photography and an emphasis on contemporary ideas are at the heart of her practise.

Nicola has won several awards, the most recent being for “Your Family” of which she was awarded one of the winners at the Magenta Foundation: Emerging Photographers 2006.

In 2004 she was a finalist of the London Photographic Awards documentary section and in 2002 she won the Tom Buckeridge Photographic Award from the University of Brighton.

She is now represented by Millennium Images: London, UK and Iris: Loughborough University, UK.

As well as her devotion to her own practise, whilst living in Cairo, she initiated a photography course at an International school for A level age students, which flourished in the four years she was there.

She had student’s progress onto photographic degrees in America.

Nicola is also housed in the Casoria Contemporary Art Museum, Naples, Italy as part of their permanent collection.
